I don’t mind dubs as much as I mind TERRIBLE TRANSLATIONS. which just sound worse dubbed. But even just from the clips I can tell they worked harder on the translation of Princess Jellyfish than most anime I’ve seen lately. :D

I have mixed opinions on terrible translations. Sometimes they really get on my nerves, and sometimes I try to understand that they had to improvise on really difficult translations.

But I love intentional gag dubs, though.

Totally. I guess what I consider terrible translations are actually LAZY translations. Like just translating the Japanese perfectly accurately, it sounds so robotic in English. They may say URUSAIII but it makes more sense in English to translate it as “shut up!” or “fuck off!” than “you’re annoying!” which is what I often hear.
