Since you posted this, I will take some time to answer.
I don’t see any reason to block you. But I reblogged that post because I agreed with the criticism, not with that you were saying. I don’t think you were attacking Natives, but the defending of the ignorance is what kills me here. I see this happen all the time on tumblr. White person gets called out for posting hipsters in head dresses, Native person says “that’s fucked up” or something, and the white person flips the fuck out, saying there’s no way in hell there’s anything wrong with their post for THIS AND THIS AND THIS reason, all the while totally ignoring the Native people who are trying to explain what is wrong. Seriously. Listen to people when they tell you that you’re being racist. Try really really hard to not be pissed. Just listen. Try to see it from their point of view. I know it’s hard to not defend yourself. I know we as white people hate being called racist. It doesn’t matter. It’s a really hard, long road digging ourselves out of the ingrained racism we are hardly even aware of sometimes.
